Come and stay at ours to experience the wonderful Bath Christmas market...we'll even throw in a mince pie & a mulled wine.

Chimney Sweep

The nights are drawing in; BOO! But on the other hand it does mean we can light the Aga and the lounge fire; can't wait for the season's first marshmallow toasting session!

This photo is just to give you an idea of how busy Christmas will be - 7 grandchildren ......argh

The importance of being tidy!

So we had a hen do last weekend. This weekend we have a fully booked B&B schedule too.
We were feeling pretty happy with ourselves that all had gone without a hitch (even the poached eggs); that is until....a lovely four year old boy we have staying with us, spotted a stray willy whistle; abandoned underneath the butchers block; deemed useless by the hen do we had stay. Oh well his mum found it funny! And let's be honest it was!!

Fly on the wall

Here are some photos of the hen dos we've had to stay.

He's a very nice man!

The AA man was lovely and this is what he gave us....

It's been a while!

From Aussies to the Swiss; from AA hotel inspectors to weather readers celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary and even a bride and groom on their wedding night; we've been busy throughout June & July.
We've even thrown in 2 hen dos to the mix and we're busy cooking up dates to host our first ever yoga weekend retreat!

The Welsh Visit

Laurie on his own, after his friends have gone home.

Six children, all under 5, makes for an interesting weekend!
The sun shone, croquet was played and too many ice creams were consumed.
Brilliant!

Lovely B&Bers

We fondly waved goodbye (I had a Tesco bag of dog poo in my hand at the time) to Francesca & Oliver, our totally lovely 2nd ever B&Bers.
If I had to rate them, I'd give them a 10 out of 10 and call them "Love's Young Dream, or Dreamy Young Lovers, or Young & Dreamily in Love"
She, a burgeoning Barrister from Winchester; he a teacher from St Paul's (very, very clever school) both sharing a half term break frollicking around the West Country.
The two were up for a giggle; visiting Cheddar, Wells, Longleat and local restaurants; hording cheese and cider as they went.
They even complimented us on the house and our hospitality; despite meeting some of our close friends on the Friday night.
My only wish was that they hadn't made me feel quite so old. Francesca, you really must develop some frown lines before your next stay.
In fact I've decided to take them down to a 9 out of 10, purely because they wouldn't let us come with them when they left.
On second thoughts, they are back up to 10 out of 10. Best babaysitters ever. Totally looked after Laurie during breakfast and paid us £70 per night for the pleasure!

Lisa's Hen

Officially our most well travelled hen to date, all the way from New Zealand!
Croquet was avoided in favour of a visiting cocktail bar and evening trip into Bath.
Another lovely bunch of ladies.

Happy Hen Chicks! Our first testimonial!

12 of us piled into the Farm House for our Hen weekend and every single one of us now wants to return! A quiet location (great for making lots of noise), fantastic property with gorgeous views and amazing interior, needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. Everything we wanted was catered for including Full English brekkie served on the lawn in the sunshine, Charlotte & Owen definitely went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. Would recommend this place to everyone, it really put the icing on the cake for our perfect weekend’.

New photos on website

There are new internal photos on our website; www.weltonmanorfarm.co.uk; and yes the beds are as comfy as they look!

First hen Do; a clucking success!

Last weekend saw the arrival of our first hen do booking. The Jones party from London enjoyed the Spring sunshine and toasted Sophie's marriage once or twice throughout the weekend.
Opting for al fresco cooked breakfasts on both mornings (convinced it helped to shrug off the previous night's revelry) the girls basked in the sunshine; in between laying down a Whitney Houston classic, "I want to dance with somebody," a surprise visit from A.T.W Jay and an interesting take on a traditional cake decorating activity.

In the house at the moment; we're busy turning the upstairs space into a bedouin tent utopia; allowing us to cater for larger hen do parties! Watch this space.
